It May Not Be Easy

I believe everything happens for a reason.  That doesn’t mean it will be easy. Effort is required even when we are on the right path. When my husband and I found the property to start our business, we knew it was perfect. But it needed a lot of work. The chosen farm house didn’t have heat, water or septic! I got overwhelmed and began to question it’s perfection. I was prepared for hard work, but not that hard. We continued the search and looked at 20 other properties. At that point the price dropped and we knew for sure it was meant to be! We made an offer and that was the start of a tortuous 4 month process! Securing financing was a nightmare filled with hoops to jump through that seemed to get smaller and higher the closer we got to the end. It was easy to wonder, if this was the right place, why was it so difficult? The frustration brought me to tears and we considered  giving up every day! We are so glad we stuck with it! Since then we have had countless experiences that validate we are in the perfect location! All those bumps in the road were necessary. I now know when the tree fell on the house during the buying process it turned out to be a good thing! Closing a month later in the dead of winter was a bonus!

If I could re-do those 4 months, I would relax more and stress less. It is true, even the difficult times have a purpose. The negative may seem more obvious initially.Sometimes it takes a while to see the positive aspects. Chris and I use the agonizing mortgage process as a reference point when we are being challenged and wondering,”Is it supposed to be this hard?” The answer my friends is, “Yes. Sometimes it is!”

    Hello,

    Great article post indeed.

Don’t tell God how big your problems are, tell your problems how big your God is; count you’re blessings, not your problems.
