We could be on vacation, at a beautiful destination, with our favorite person and feel unsettled. We could also be sitting in traffic, running late to go to an appointment we don’t want to go to and be at peace.
Finding inner peace is a skill we must learn and can learn.
The fastest, easiest, surest route to feeling calm is meditation. You can meditate at anytime, anywhere without any tools. A quick fix of peace is always available to you.
The answers appear during times of silence, stillness and tranquility.
Start out with 5 minutes. Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and focus on your breath. You may not have a magical moment at first. At a minimum you may become aware of how frantic, negative and constant your thoughts are. At the end of the five minutes, see if you feel less stressed. Keep at it. The more you practice, the more you will understand where real peace exists.
Meditation is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves, either to start our day or end it. I love doing it after supper to quiet my mind and enjoy the rest of my evening. Lots of people think of meditation as a “hippie” or “guru” thing, it’s not it’s simply quieting your mind. Great post!! 🙂

Thank you for your kind words. I totally agree. The more I use meditation, the more I love it!

And as the saying goes if you think you’re too busy, then you need it the most. ☺
