I heard that death makes us more reflective. I know this to be true. My mother passed away last month. I seem to be thinking about life differently. What’s really important? What do I want to accomplish? What’s the big picture?
Author Norman Cousins said, “Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.
I must admit, I am cautious. I’m a planner. I like to get my ducks lined up, research every possibility before I make a move. At times I get caught up in the details and freeze. I want to take more risks, fear less and try new things.
I have made progress over the years. I moved, started a business and got a Saint Bernard! All things that took courage and pushed me out of my comfort zone. The puppy pushed us into a zone that is filled with fur, slobber and extreme affection.
I am committed to keep changing , continue trying new things and live life to the fullest. We all have a purpose. We all have gifts. We are all here to learn, teach, share, help and experience life!
So sorry that you lost your Mom but this post is really inspiring. Thank you

Your mom is still around. She transitioned over to the spiritual world now. May you find peace and comfort. A big hug to you.

Sorry to read of your loss. It is a hard adjustment… after all, she was always somewhere there in the background every day of your life. I was young when my mother passed, and the hardest part was realizing there would never be another conversation. It’s been forty years now, and I still sometimes wonder what she’d have to say about things.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost a friend this week and she was also my neighbor for 20 years. π¦ It most definitely makes you think about every aspect of life differently. We are all here for a purpose and you sound like you are doing wonderfully finding yours. β€οΈ

Sorry to hear about your friend. It’s hard to get used to that special someone not being there in physical form. I believe they are still with us cheering us on and supporting us β€οΈ

I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Reflection can be a great ally, a time to regroup and refocus. It’s not that we weren’t on task before, but our intentionality can become greater. All the best as you process and learn.

I’m sorry for your loss. Life do test us in so many ways and I guess death is the ultimate one.
