A little info about me.
My name is Michele. I started this blog 1-1-16. My goal is to create a space to provide support and information about mindset and wellness. I am a licensed therapist and personal trainer. My full time job for the past 20 years is being a therapist in a domestic violence program. I work with victims, perpetrators and the kids who witness the violence. My part time job is being a wellness consultant at Whole Body Fitness in NH. WBF is a wellness studio my husband and I started in 2014. Between my two jobs, It’s not unusual for me to interact with 100 clients a week. I see people at all different stages of change. This blog will be based on what I have learned about making changes. I will write my observations about what seems to help people grow, get happier and healthier both physically and mentally. I also read a lot! So I will incorporate anything relevant I am learning about. My overall focus will be on wellness. But since that’s such a broad topic…I could really write about anything.
Yayyyyyy!!!! Congrats Michele! The older I become the more I appreciate change and learning how to stay healthy physically and mentally. Can’t wait to see more blogs!

Hi, Thank you for following my blog. I’m following yours too, it looks really interesting. I suffer from some depression and anxiety problems so to read posts about how to get better both physically and mentally would be great. That plus reading anything is always fun :). I’m going to read some more of your blog and look forward to new posts :).

Thank you for following me so that in turn I could find your wonderful blog. Already it resonates with me, just an ordinary woman going about life in Melbourne Australia, raising a family, dealing with life issues and the worries and insecurities of life. I look forward to reading more of your blog.

Michelle, It’s afternoon down here in RI and over 56 degrees. What a strange New England winter! I’ve spent many winter days in Bretton Woods New Hampshire. It can be very cold and extremely breathtaking in the White Mountains. Hopefully you are staying warm. Clare

It’s 45 today! I just took Angelo the dog for a quick walk in the woods. It feels like spring! Bretton woods is about an hour away, it’s beautiful up there!

We spent many a marvelous day in the White Mountains. I haven’t been in two years because we sold the property there when I was writing A Berkshire Tale. (We were spending lots of time up in Stockbridge and Lenox, so something had to give.)

I put all 10 of the ZuZu stories into one book, A Berkshire Tale and published it. Now I’m taking out each individual story to be published separately in a larger format with more pictures. The alpaca story is coming out in April (hopefully)
The South County mystery I just finished writing won’t be any where near last draft for quite some time.Lots of editing needed! Thanks, Michelle

Hello there!
I’ve nominated you for the Leibster Blogging Award. If you don’t know what it is, then check out my latest blog entry (link at the end), but essentially, if I’ve nominated you to take part then I think you and your blog are pretty awesome. Apologies if a) you’ve already been nominated to take part, b) it’s not your sort of thing, c) you’ve got too much to do at the moment e.g. pet problems or general apathy. My latest blog entry tells you what to do to participate in this fun award; https://clskellern.wordpress.com/

Your blog is fascinating!!! How long have you been blogging for?

Since March 2014. I had started it to surprise my son who had been bugging me to do it for a long time. Neither one of realized how much I would love it.
And I had no idea how many worlds would open up to me. I had no interest in photography when I started. In fact, I thought it was a way that people used to stay out of the present. Now my blog is full of it! 🙂

Yes!!! You wrote a book too???

In the late 90’s and early 2000’s I wrote books about my journey with Amma. And a workbook called Letting Go of Suffering that I’m putting on my blog as a weekly series right now.
Blogging has given me the opportunity to write again and I am very thankful for that. I knew I didn’t want to write books anymore but this is a modality that works great for me.
I wasn’t sure I had anything to blog about quickly discovered that I do!

I read blogs on my phone. I couldn’t find that series. But I will. I found the suffering series. I am the director of a domestic violence program. I would love to buy a copy of your book! Where can I get one? Those workbook exercises are perfect!

You could eventually get to the migrant farm labor series on the phone but it would take a lot of scrolling. I just realized that I have a link to the series. So that would work to get to it easily. https://livinglearningandlettinggo.wordpress.com/2015/11/25/1970-my-summer-as-a-migrant-farm-laborer-series-intro/
My book is out of print but there are still used copies available. https://www.amazon.com/Getting-Joy-Householders-Spiritual-Amritanandamayi/dp/0964362929/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483110157&sr=8-1&keywords=karuna+poole
That book actually is a combination of Book 1 and Book 2 of a three part series. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for liking my post “Wisdom” on my blog. Jumped over to your site and LOVE what you are sharing. Am reading “The Seat of the Soul” written by Gary Zukav. A good read if you haven’t read it yet. Personality vs Soul.
With your diverse work as a therapist and a personal trainer, you rock in my mind! Kudos to a great site.
