Get It Out

If I’m super focused looking at my phone, my husband will ask, “Are you blogging?” He knows when I’m in the zone, I need to finish my thought or I’m distracted until I get it out. He understands the process. He’s creative, artistic and very talented. Until I started this blog I used to say, “I’m not creative!” I had an image of what creative people look like. And more importantly, what their creation would look like. I know there are many ways to express yourself creatively. I would get the feeling I created something cool when I accessorized an outfit perfectly, or when my garden produced zucchini. I just never had a go to outlet. But my blog is different. It’s gives me a quick fix to create. I always understood painters need to paint, musicians need to play, and creative people need to create. I just never thought of myself as having a creative need I had to fulfill. What I now realize is, it’s not about skill, the activity or the finished product. It’s about the process. It’s about working on something that gets your creative juices flowing. I have also been spending a lot of time taking pictures of our new puppy! When I look at the photos, they make me smile! I’m not sure if it’s because he’s ridiculously cute or I’m a really good photographer! All I know is I’m beginning to think maybe I am creative! How do you think of yourself? What’s your latest creation?                                 Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up” – Pablo Picasso

  3. It’s because he is ridiculously cute! This post is great. I wish more people would realize that everyone is creative, and they just need to find the right outlet.

Good guess! This one is a Saint Bernard! Our 2 year old dog was supposed to be a Bernese mix. But they think he’s a Greater Swiss mix. I read all 3 of those breeds are related?

      1. Don’t know about their being related but they’re darn beautiful and loyal breeds, each. Revel in the joy this one brings!
